If you can follow the wires (they aren't taped), and/or have the correct wiring diagram, it's fairly easy.

You need a decent multimeter. set it to ohmsX1, touch the 2 probes together and set the zero adjust so the needle reads zero, and then measure the wires from the connector pin at one end to the pin at the other.

Unless the harness has any diodes or resistances intentionally built in (where a diagram comes in handy), your readings should be maybe a couple of ohms tops.

Also look at the connectors and their pins for obvious damage/corrosion.
