Well, after searchin' for some Styled Steel Wheels, I finally found a gret set of 14 X 5's at a great price. (Thanks Mike P.) Unfortunately, for early 65's, they needed to be painted with Argent (SilverI) inserts, vs. the common charcoal paint. Otherwise, these were in great shape and had the correct chrome rims.

It was kindof a Bi$% to tape, strip, prime, paint, then coat them, but take a look and let me know what you think!! Oh...talk about a real doofus...I have also just been informed that Styled Steel Wheels were not an option on 64 1/2 cars....ugh....I could have restored my wire wheel covers with tri-color spiner centers for much less....

Oh well, take a look and let me know what you think!

Look's great. That was a lot of work masking those off! Maybe for next time, try just bagging off the outer rim and wipe off excess on the spokes with a rag and solvent. Would be much quicker and I believe this is how they were done originally.

Oh now you tell me! Yup, I think you're right. I should have masked offf just the outer edges with a thin tape, the sprayed like crazy and wiped off the excess as you mentioned. Oh well, they came out okay.

best,

Drew
