In the NPD catalog, the yellow top coil is list as 65-73. Is there not a differance between 6 and 8 cyl versions? I pulled a yellow top off a 76 6 cyl. motor that still works. I was thinking of keeping it if they were the same as my 68 V8 ones.
I don't think there was a difference in coil size depending on engine displacement. My dad's '65 used to have the factory sawed off runty yellow top coil before it died and it looked the same as the ones I've seen in the wrecking yard on a 351.
