Starting to like E-bay.
3.27 gears less then a 1,000 miles for $26 plus S&H.
Probably good I'm getting deals like this. Since the AOD's wider then the C-4 looks like I may have to spend some money on exhaust work. Oh well gives me excuse to put on some JBA's!!

You could have gone a lot higher with the AOD. 3.27s are what the late models come with from the factory. One of the first mods that we do on these is drop in atleast 3.73s and with autos it's common for 4.11s and up.

Take advantage of that overdrive and step up a little on the gears.

Looked at 3.5 and 3.73
But for driving around the base and town it's too high.
Looking at mileage and drivability.
Want to be able to go coast to coast if I want too.
The 3.27s will still keep me in the power range on the interstate at around 2300 rpm.

You WILL find out for yourself that the 3.27 are kinda tall with the AOD and wished for lower ones. My 351W has 3.50 behind it and I keep pondering over 3.70 or what ever with the daily driver AOD. Just bought a rebuildable 89 LSC AOD last week for the 64.5 project. John

It would be a shame to have passed the test but to have missed the lesson.
