Do you have proof of payment, like a canceled check or credit card statement? That really bites! Sorry to hear of your misfortune.
Care to take back the take back of all the bad things you said about the DMV?joedom said:Success!!
I went to the Thousand Oaks DMV today and got my plates registered. No stickers needed and the worker knew exactly what to do...and he did it with a smile!!
I take back all the bad things I said about the DMV...well most of it.
Thanks for all the input.
Yep I take back all the nice things I said about DMV...their not cool.Crustycurmudgeon said:
I ended up doing the final paperwork in the Lancaster office...but it doesnt matter. All the field office does is to make sure the paperwork is correct. Then it gets sent to Sacramento where they will stare at it for three months.Joe (jmd66fb),
Please describe what you did to make this work. I have an old set of black/gold plates and wish to get them on my Mustang.
Where did you do this? Thousand Oaks? (near me, me hopes was there)
Did you scrape off the stickers down to 1965,
Did you have an old registration form showing the plate is tied to your car?
What was the condition of the plates?
