When installing the 302 in my 68 coupe, I'll also be converting from C4 to toploader (until I pick up a tremec 5 spd). I'm curious about the z-bar to tri-y conflicts... I read some of the archives, and heard bits and pieces about it.

So do the tri-y's interfere with the z-bar, and if so, what is the work around?

Thanks!

I had problems with my Z-Bar hitting the tri-y's when Installed my toploader. To fix the problem my Dad made an extender that changed the z bar angle so as not to hit the header. I can post pictures if that will help.

I didn't have any problems with the tri-ys and the z-bar. However, the steering arm did hit the headers. dimple and problem is gone.

I'll try to take the digital camera home today and snap a few of the clutch setup in my car. BTW I got my tri-y's from NPD. They said they fit perfectly....they were wrong.
