I have a 70 Fastback with a 351Clev and a 4spd, No P/S but I do have headers. My Z-bar ( clutch equalization bar ) is pretty ugly with lots of welded reinforcements. I don't see any vendors that sell a Clev. Z-bar.

Would a 351W or maybe a Boss 302 Z-bar be the same as one on Cleveland ?

Or if you have one I would be interested in... !

Thanks, Chris

The factory z bars are pretty ugly, but stronger than some of the repops. I kept mine and just cleaned it up a bit for looks.

It's your call. I've heard some neg feedback on repros. Like I mentioned, I cleaned mine up (grinder and wire wheel) they aren't really all that visible. IMO it's a 'function over flash' item.

do you have a heavy duty clutch? i read of the long style HD units tearing the z-bar's up. the z-bar for my 351w was bent a little bit. the repro was thicker material.

do you have a picture of yours?

I have some other small block ones, I will give it a shot.

I saw an add somewhere that someone was offering Z-bars with roller-bearings.
