'68 Side marker light bulbs?

According to my book it's a 1178A for the front side marker on the 68. The A stands for Amber as they come in clear also. OZ.

Sylvania makes the 1178A's. I ordered a box through Schucks. Stock #367370 for a box of ten.

Mike, make sure you get the ones that are stained inside because the outside stain flakes off after they get hot. OZ.

I couldn't find these about 12 years ago when I was finishing my fastback. I found a similar clear bulb and painted them lightly with Krylon yellow. Still look good.

OZ,
Well, I think I made a minor dufus!! I thought to myself I recently replaced the headlight harness and after removing and breaking the what I thought was a bad side market bulb I noticed the plug to the light wasnt plugged in all the way!!
I am gonna try to find a similar bulb at the autostore tomorrow.
Can't see buying a box of 10 for 1!

I did get my dash lights working again tonight tho - new fuse did the trick!

I can not find these locally anywhere. Is there a replacment bulb that will work. Evan if it is clear I can paint them.
