I'm in the process of adding a Spal fan and their controller unit, I am thinking of using the post on the rear of my Powermaster 100 amp one wire alternator as the unswitched power connection. The "hot" side of the starter solenoid is full, not enough threads left to add another wire. I want to avoid at all costs adding a wire to the terminal at the battery. I can run the wire along the wire from the alternator to the solenoid, and could run the ground wire there to so it would connect at the battery ground to block connection. Does anybody see a problem with this?

Thanks, but I already have two of these on the car, one under the leg of the battery tray and the other under the dash. http://www.madelectrical.com/images/cn-1.s14.jpg They did help and made it easy to clean up the wiring. When I did that work I also used a fabric like heat shrink sleeve over the wires to further hide them. The problem was how to connect the fan without disturbing all of the other finished work.

I just finished for the most part making the connection the the distribution block near the battery. I placed the wire for the fan against the supply wire that comes off the solenoid. The other connection are low amp draw and I wanted to make sure the fan would get adequate power.
