1967 mustang not starting

Hi everyone, I've got a 67 mustang coupe and when I tried starting it this morning it started fine but turned off after a minute. When I tried to restart it, it would crank but not start up. I've checked the spark plugs and they have spark and are dry. I've checked the carburettor and it's getting fuel. The battery is charged and it doesn't look like any wires are loose.
I'm not sure what else to check?

Any input or help would be really appreciated

The engine isn't starting sadly, so I'll be pulling the motor out soon.

I'm looking at getting an engine rotating kit from summit racing and I'm looking at the brands SCAT engine components and eagle specialty products. Does anyone have any experience with these products, good or bad? If so, which one would you recommend?

My next question is what sort of piston would you guys recommend?

I'm overall looking for a bit more horsepower
