Somebody is going to say that, the 428 engine was put into a Shelby ordered Mustang that was put in at the assembly plant, not pulled at Shelby American and replaced there. Yeah, somebody is.......

I stated, "They were sent to the Shelby factory as S code 390's", I never said the 390 engine went with it. Maybe I should've worded it like, " They went to the Shelby factory as Serialized S codes.

+1, on 69DroptopGT, but don't confuse him with a "438 Shelby"
I'd say a person might also get confused with the Shelby being coded as a 390. tlewis1979, They were sent to the Shelby factory as "S" code 390's but were converted to 428's. That's what 69droptopGT is explaining
