Can anyone help me with a list or diagram of the proper parts needed for a 1969 mach 1 upper steering fixed column. I have the rim blow wheel off and I am unsure of what parts are used in the upper coumn collar, behind the switch assembly. I know there is a bearing and retaining ring. Is there a seal and spring etc?

Thank you. I believe that's why I was confused, no spring since its a rim blow.
No spring because of the upper column bearing type. On the columns that use a spring it has nothing to do with the horn, it's to push the centering cone into the bearing to properly locate the shaft.

The bearing has a rubber “jacket”. The turn signal switch nut and steering wheel. No seal or spring as the horn switch is in the steering wheel.
Is there a difference in the mounting screws for the signal switch on a 1969. I cant seem to find the ones on any site for 1969.

I bought a Mustang Steve lower bearing, and need to either cut off the end of the inner tube, or leave out the inner tube. Will it operate without the inner tube? How much to cut off, just enough to get the bearing to fit in the outer tube? Thanks. Dan
Why are you doing anything to the column???

I believe the OE part number was 379908-S8, which is obsolete. It's probably an 8-32 machine screw. NPD shows a "mounting kit" with 2 screws.

NPD has these (below link) listed for each year except 1969. I believe the ones in your link was for standard wheel horn. Mine is the rim blow wheel. Unfortunately no one list the flange bolts for the collar or the turn signal screws for a 1969.

I rebuilt the column because the car sat in a garage for 45 years, was gummed up, and needed rebuilding. And put the Mustang Steve bearing in the bottom end. Thanks Dan
