Now my new questions. I have a Edelbrock F4B intake manifold. I have seen a lot of these at swap meets. I was wondering if there is a good reason not to use this manifold on my 302? If there is, I might just use the Offenhauser that was on my 289. ( I am building a 302 to replace the 289 in my 66 ) The engine has a Comp Cam FS271 cam, GT40-P heads and tri-y headers. It is also a 4 speed manual with 3.50 gears.
Next question: How do I tell if I should replace the vibration damper? There seems to be just a little chipping away of the rubber. I have owned the car 29 years so I know it is the original one.
OOps just thought of another question. I saw an add for a nodular vibration damper with the 28oz weight bolted on. You could change to 50oz if you wanted to. I don't remember where I saw the add or how much it was. Does anyone know about these and is there a good place to get a new stock vibration damper?
