If our engine trouble turns out to be a worn timing chain...we're going to go ahead to install the new timing chain and also a new cam as well while were in there
1) reading through the shop manual for how to change timing chain it says you have to remove the oil pan. I'm assuming that its necessary, but how come the pan has to be dropped?? (probably dumb question)
2) looking at different vendors for cam options, i saw a cam swap "kit" which contained new valve springs, retainers, etc... do you have to change all this stuff in the cam swap??
thanks guys!
