I’m ironing out my tuning of my new motor. It’s a 302. 1987 block, comp cam xe274 cam, twisted wedge heads, Weiand Stealth intake, quickfuel brawler 650 carb.
I borrowed my neighbours timing light and checked my timing at idle, fully warmed up. It’s 20 degrees. Apart from running rich at idle, it runs great. crisp throttle response and relatively smooth idle at about 800.
Is 20 degrees to high?
