Hello, I know this place is for vintage Mustang's but I was hoping someone could help with this question.
I bought my Daughter a New 2004 Mustang the dealership wants 399.99 for the alarm reg. price they said was 599.99
Does anyone know of a alarm that can be installed with out a lot of cutting into the wires etc? sort of like a modular plug in set up?.....Thanks, Bob

If you don't get any help here try corral.net or stangnet.com

Both of these sites are more dedicated towards newer cars.

Don't waste your money. The Mustang has PATS, passive anti-theft system called Securilock. Coded key and ignition module are tied together and the car can only be started by using the correct key. Cannot hotwire or slide-pull the ignition switch and have the engine start. Save you dollars for the insurance premium on that baby!

The alarm box is located in the trunk, on the left side behind the plastic walls. The box itsself is the same from 94 to present. It also fits alot of other vehicles so it is fairly easy to find in the junkyard. I know that an Explorer works as well as an F 150, usually the Explorer Limited has it from the factory and this box is about $20- $25 in the junkyards. I will dig around and see if I still have the part number for it.

As stated above, those cars already have a securtity system that is just fine.

You might ask those dipsh**s at the "dealership" if they are aware of the factory setup.

BTW, I also use "The Club" on mine for a little extra peace of mine. ;)
