I have searched many forums trying to get a clue on which headers have the best chance of clearing in the car. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I am in the process of pulling my old tired 302/AOD and waiting on a new 347/4r70w build to be completed.
Thought why not figure out exhaust prior and run it for now. The issue I am having right now is the 302 has the original 66 manifold and with the new build, headers will be a must.
The prior owner installed the TCP powersteering setup on it and I know I am going to need a header design that hugs the motor and trans to avoid the woodward servo pictured.
Other issue is can't go long tube because the car is to low and ground clearance would be an issue. looking at shorty, mid-length or maybe tri-y, however tri-y would be a tough as well.
Anyone have suggestions? I am fine need to dent or slightly bend if need, just need direction on what is going to be the best shot.
