Close Sharkmouth,
The one that was close to the 351Boss was the 72 R code
The 351C H.O that is not a CJ. The H.O. was a better motor than the CJ"s.The 4V Q code for 72 and 73 were considered Cj's
It is worth more than the 351C 2V, Around where I live, West Michigan The 351C CJ would be worth at least $500 most likely more if it was a running engine.
Late in 1971 there was a official 351 CJ. In 72 on it's uncertain if the engine is called a CJ or not. A 1970 closed chamber motor will spank it. I would agree with TFOB that $500 would be about right for a still running stock motor.
My motor is probably close to a 351C CJ. With forged pistons and rods, a nice cam, a balanced crank, better than stock intake and carb, the only thing missing is possibly solid lifters. Yes, I believe that my motor will outrun a 72 HO 351C.
