Just brought home a new to me 1967 mustang. It was a roller 302 with FI tech with a 4 speed top loaded. This is my first top loader. Reverse took a little getting used to. Anyway , we trailered it home. 6 hour drive. It was in first gear on the way home. Started right up, went right into reverse and off the trailer when it started to act up. I went to put it into gear and it was like being in neutral with the clutch popped and would not let me into any gear. We pushed it out of the way and it then it went into gear and drove fine. Think this was user error? Something bound from being on a trailer in gear?

I'm guessing you may have sorted this out by now. What shifter do you have? I have a Hurst Comp+ that I rebuilt. It was fairly easy. There's a lot of aligning and tweaking that you've got to do to get it right but once you do it's buttery smooth.
