If you don't go crazy with a steep rear gear, and drive it sanely, upper twenties is typical for a stock 5.0 and T5 on the highway. City driving is typically reported as mid to high teens.
Ok thanks for the post, that was the info I was hoping for. When/If I get a mustang I plan on doing the 5.0 swap with the 5 speed along with mega squirt and a multi port injection intake and Holly EFI 1000cfm carb look alike.
Hopefully with some lean cruising mixtures and a mild cam I can still get low to mid 20's on the interstate and high teens around town if I take it easy.
is there anyone on VMF that has actually done a mega squirt?
