Back in the day when most shaker cars had the equipment they were built with, I realized that there were at least 2 Mustang shaker intermediate plates. While it is relatively well-known the Torino base and intermediate plates are different than their Mustang counterparts, I do not recall anything ever being written about the different Mustang intermediate plates. I am in possession of each of these different plates for various vehicles (sorry none for sale at this time), so I know they each exist.

One Mustang unit was on the 1969 Cobra Jet and 390, and was most easily identified by have 3 round holes to received the studs on the top of the shaker base. This unit has a "flat" flapper, and what I call a more rounded dome for the flapper.

Another Mustang unit was on the 1970 351-C, and had 2 slots and 2 holes at the front marked 2V and 4V, to recieve the studs. This unit has a what I call a flattened dome for the flapper (it's not as tall), and requires a "creased" flapper to close properly. I also saw this unit on 1970 428 CJs that I believed to be original installation.

My question is: How do I know which is the correct unit for the 1969 351-W (shaker available for 2V and 4V)? Is it the 69 unit above, the 70 unit, or a third unit with the 69 dome and flapper, but 2 holes and 2 slots? Does anyone have any documentation to suppor this, or a 100% certain, original 351-W shaker/car, or other information?

thanks

Sorry I don't but if you are skilled and have some tools, you can possibly fabricate one. Looks pretty good to me. The Torino scoop echos the pointed hood on the 69-70 stangs:
