I have a 1967 Mustang with a 289 V8. Recently I had a new front unibody installed, along with new steering and suspension components. I am trying to eyeball the alignment the best I can so I can drive it 20 miles to the alignment shop (other alternative is borrowing a truck and trailer and hauling it there, but that is pricey). I adjusted the tie rod ends and lower control arm bolts to straighten it out to where it drives pretty straight, but there is an issue with the upper control arms. They are barely rubbing against inside sidewall of the tires. But I fear it is enough where they will rub through in a few miles. The tires aren't huge, or too oversized for the car because they fit the old suspesion fine. The new suspension is identical to the old. Any ideas on how to kick the top of the tires out and off the control arms just to get it down the road for a professional alignment?
