Replace the bearing without disassembly? I've never done it...

With the cluster gear dropped and the input shaft removed I turn the case face down on two 4 x 4 blocks then with my aluminum BFH I drive the shaft out of the bearing.

Now that I have a press I will be doing this with a press. ::

BEFORE YOU BANG THE MAINSHAFT OUT OF THE REAR BEARING, REMOVE THE 3RD-4TH SYNCRO ASSY. SNAP RING!!
This snap ring is on the front of the shaft and if you don't remove the snap ring you will ruin the snap ring groove/mainshaft.

I polish .002" off the bearing journal so the rear bearing will be a slip fit, then reassemble with red Loctite.

If you have the input shaft out you need to leave the outer snap ring on the rear roller bearing and remove the inner snap ring to hammer it out.
If you've got a torch heat the inner race on the rear roller bearing and the shaft will fall out. Much faster than hammering or a press.
