So when I bought my coupe a long time back it came with a 1 3/4" steering column with a quick release steering wheel hub. I was trying to think of a way to make it work. I went down to the hardware store and got a 1 3/4" pipe bracket which basically functions as a under dash mount, but it is not strong enough to keep the column completely still, because the tail end can move freely in the very large floor board opening.
