Autolite 1100 - where do I adjust the idle?

Discovered the other day that the 67 will not stay running on idle, it just stumbles and then cuts out as if the idle is set too low. With the choke on it will stay running, but as soon as the choke is off, unless giving it some extra gas it cuts out. So, I figured first place I will check is the idle, start looking for an idle adjustment screw, can't find it, come on here and find a diagram showing where the screw should be.

Go back to the car... fast idle (at least I assume this is the fast idle, based on an image I found of where the idle should be) - check, mixture screw - check, idle adjustment - umm where is it?

Took a bunch of pictures of the carb, maybe someone can help. Red circle is fast idle, blue mixture, any ideas on the idle?

It's not the easiest thing to get to, you'll need a long enough screwdriver to clear the valve cover. It's hidden under the boss for the choke mechanism, indicated by the arrow below. Given that it's completely invisible in your pic, you may well have an empty threaded hole where the screw vibrated out.

That image with the green arrow is the one I was following, I'll look again but I'm pretty certain there's nothing there.

I did find this link.. Autolite 1100 series idle (how-to)issue - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums

Post #4 shows that what I thought was the fast idle screw is just listed as the idle speed screw, if I see nothing under the carb, then I'll try adjusting this one and see if that helps.

Took a real hard look underneath that area and nothing there, so followed the instructions at that link from the truck forum above. What I ended up having to do was set it too high, basically in order to get it to stay running with the choke off, then adjusted it down to where it was idling nicely. Tweaked the mixture screw at the same time and had it running smooth.

Cold(ish) start a few hours later, no choke, fired up and idled without needing to give it any throttle input at all. Tried a cold start yesterday evening, little bit of choke to get going, and then sat there idling without issue.

Keep unscrewing the fast idle screw (marked red in your photo below) to obtain a steady "curb idle", then adjust the choke rod to get the proper point on the fast idle cam for your choke operation.
