Hi Everybody , What are your thoughts on, I have 1965 coupe. My engine bay has been fabricated for the big motor & weight. Pump Gas street pro stock look.
I'm thinking on putting in a 572 big block Ford with a Blower...??!!

Please post pics of the engine compartment, I’d love to see the Mods; very tight fit in a 65-66 vs 67-68.

Sure... if one had a $25k+ budget just for the engine and blower combo as well as the desire to have almost 1k horsepower out of a classic mustang then by all means go for it. The engine by itself has an almost $18k MSRP from Ford, if that's who you're thinking about "going with", although it sounds more like, as mentioned above, you might be trying to stir the pot here. Anyway, $18k just for the motor, which doesn't include shipping to Australia, if that's where you actually live, and I would have to imagine that would cost thousands of dollars to do since the engine has a shipping weight of around 750 lbs. Then you've got the blower on top of that, which I imagine, depending on the brand and style of blower, would cost easily another $4-5k minimum. Then you have to figure out what transmission you're going to use, if you don't have one already, and since that combination is likely going to put out close to 1k horsepower, you're going to have to get something that will handle that amount of power, which is going to cost considerable amounts of money. Same goes for the rear end, the tires, wheels, brakes, suspension and everything else that you're "considering" doing. In the end, it's going to be imo well over $30-40k to get the car where you want it to be at. You can't just simply put close to 1k horsepower in a classic mustang without doing anything else to it, I mean you could, but you'd never be able to get the power to the road. But yes, it is possible, though it won't be cost effective at all and probably quite insane having that much power in a car that weighs less than 3k lbs as well as is 56 years old at this point. Here's a couple links for engines that start at $18k and only go up from there.
