Just curious to see how many out there are from Canada.Drop me a line, I'll be sure to return your post. Where do most of you get your parts from, North or South? Know any good retailers out there in The Great White North?

Hi Allen
I think there is no more than 15 of us Canadians here. I am in northern Sk, La Ronge.
I buy my parts from The Mustang Shop in Calgary, Canadian Mustang in B.C., some from RPM in Saskatoon, DTM Mustang from where ever they are now (used to be Winnipeg) plus an evening on the telephone has sometimes scored the odd used part.
There is way more selection if you can afford the American dollar exchange, but so far i can't !!

Hi. I am doug from south western ontario. I purchase mostly from the u.s.. NPD, Paddock, Mustangs unlimited. The key is to have the seller SHIP.. u.s. post. Inaddition, have the shipper fill out a NFTA form and indicate the parts are for a vehicle over 25 years of age. I find that shipping with any of the other couriers leads to unreasonable duty fees (it is like fraud). In addition, another vmfer Scott in Cinci. Ohio has received products where a particular vendor will not ship other than ups. He then reships U.S. mail to me north of the border. He is not only a gentleman but a pleasure to know.
Motor parts however are probably easier to get up in the North. Especially in Ontario the rust capital of North America. If we were smart we would form an coop with someone from Alberta and/or Sask where there is no rust and no motor parts. Ship the motor parts west and the shells east.
Special thanx to Hurtle for allowing us foreigners to use the locator. thanx doug

Alan: I live in southern Ontario (near Port Dover) and get most of my parts from Canadian Mustang in B.C. or at swap meets. I too find the exchange rate prohibative and there are NO mustangs at the wreckers. Nice to hear from a fellow Canuk. Mark

Hi guys!
My name is Piero and I'm from Montreal Quebec.
I get my parts from Auto Art, a local vintage Mustang restorer. The owners name is Ken Hill. He's an official supplier for Mustangs Unlimited. It usually takes 4-5 days to receive my order.
Nice to see fellow Canadians looking out for each other.

Great looking Stangs guys!!!

Hi, lost my first try here. Don here, in North Central B.C.. I have bought parts from D.T. Mustang in Edmonton, Canadian Mustang which was in Langly and were good but last time I was in there got the ignore look so went elsewhere, I had purchased close to $8000 in parts there as well. Lately I have been getting most of my parts from Millenium Speed , in Langly. Jeff has a one man operation going and is very good to deal with..e-mail is nspeed@smartt.com
Also picked up parts south of the border from NPD as well.

Hi Shaune, your going about your restoration with alot of common sense,as Alexander Keith say's, takin the time to do it right! There are other important parts of our lives besides Mustangs, but not many.I am surprised tohear that there are only 15 of us,I thought more in VMF. I have dealt with NPD and Must Unltd as well as Cdn. Mustang and Dt Mustangs East. The exchange is a killer. It might help if you know someone in the hobby from the US or someone making a trip across the border. Thanks for writing, good luck with your fastback, stay in touch, Regards, Alan

Hi Doug, VMF is very handy for mustang fanatics, regardless of what country we hail from, and it is nice to know us Canadians can put together a pretty good Mustang as well. There are no shortage of new Stangs on the road down East as well.

Hi Mark, thanks for sending.Nice set of wheels, without any mods to your car, it will be worth alot more to someone in the concours field. Nice to see it's original. How do you find selection of detailed parts from Cdn Mustang as apposed to NPD if you happen to have a copy of they're catalogue?Stay in touch,Alan

Hello Piero, nice to hear from another Cannuck.Your coupe looks great. How long have you been Mustanging? On my 2nd resto. My first car was a 68 coupe,origin- Truro, NS.Had to let it go for my fastback though. How might I get a hold of Ken Hill? Stay in touch, Alan

Yes, I bought over $8000 in parts at Canadian Mustang and since then have bought mostly from Millenium. Jeff there is a parts finder actually but he does orders for parts of any make. He does have a cat out. Phone is 1-604-513-9899, hard to get ahold of some times but leave him a message or e-mail him at the address in the last post.
All totalled up I have $30,000 in rec. for the 69 Grande.Haven't took a tally on the 65 yet but it is also getting up there. Had to redo the doors, foound some nice original ones so took off the offshore ones, also had to redo the rear quarter as I messed up with the partial..
Both the 69 and 65 are stock.69 has all matching, no accidents.65 has a story to tell but haven't found out the details yet.4 bullet holes in the back.. Started doing the 63 Fury today, actually started the cutting out of sheetmetal today, have to make panels for it as they are not out there.
Happy motoring, Don

Hi from another Canadian, in Oakville, Ontario. Don't look here for any help or guidance yet, though. Owned my '65 coupe since '79, it's a total rustbucket right now, poorly stored for the last 10 years. Just started disassembly for a "restoration". (in quotes because it is so far gone that a driver is all it will ever be).

Looking forward to speaking with fellow Cdn's about suppliers in the future.

Can a Canadian who lives in the states count towards the count. Hoping to move back to Windsor one day. I'm heading back home for the holidays and I know I'll be drinking a few Keith's when I get there.
If anyone needs parts brought to Windsor from the Paddock or another supplier then we can figure out how to get them to you.
Talk about salt damage I grew up a mile from the Windsor salt mines and they would use tons of it on the roads.

I'm located on the outskirts of Ottawa. Most of my parts came from Mustangs Unlimited or NPD. My buddy lives in NJ so I have them shipped to him and then pick them up when I visit. Lately I've been purchasing from Classic Mustang Holdings out of Victoria. I've been pleased with the service and the guy who runs it (Greg) is good to deal with.

Hi Alan, welcome to the forum eh???/forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

In my guestimation there are over 40 of us canucks on the board here, I know of at least 30 that have posted in the past, including 6 - 10 from your neck of the woods.

Another good source of parts is Special Interest Cars in Oakville, Ontario. He carries a lot of NOS as well as reproduction parts. He's been around for a number of years, I bought my NOS fenders (red primer, could sell those for big $$$ now) from him 20 yrs. ago /forums/images/icons/shocked.gif.

He is not on the web so if you're interested I can get you his phone #.
