Hi Freinds
I have be chasing a noise on the engine. I did the shop vac up the tail pipe. Im sure now this is not a Vacuum leak or header exhaust leak. I did find a leak at the collection flange to exhaust pipe. But that s too far away.
I wondered if I could use my Compression tester gauge into the piston on a running engine test. I did a running valve adjustment by ear months ago and I got no change in the noise. I only moved a couple of quarter turns. I was too conservative.
So I wondered if I plug in the compression tester gauge and watched the gauge while running. Try and adjust for the best seal on the valve. Or its this too dangerous? Maybe its a bad valve ?
Thx
Lawrence
