For HVLP guns I use 50' 3/8 ID for all my prep/priming. Make sure its the good rubber hose and not the vinyl. I have a good water separator at the tank and use one of those disposable balls at the gun before the pressure regulator. I have used the same setup for my gravity fed gun (higher pressure) and had good results painting my Mach Wimbledon White as I remember, but that was about 30 years ago and my memory is not as good as it used to be.

I'm going with copper. Something like this. Plus I have a large air filter/dryer.

I like this, just wish I had the wall space. I added an Automatic Compressor Drain Kit to my compressor. Every time it cycles on or off, it momentarily opens the valve at the bottom of the tank.
