need to know what is the correct shifter knob for a 72 r codemthe one i have now is a hurstt handle like the 71 boss but i hace heard 72 4spd cars have a black knob but does that correct for the 72 r code,

can no one answer my question on the shifter knob and this car does have a hurst shifter arm

72-3 4-speed cars came equipped with a Hurst shifter that had a round handle. The word "HURST" was stamped into a flattened area on either side of the stick. The knob was black plastic with a white shift pattern engraved in it.
