While looking for a new crossmembers for my 66 coupe I noticed that some crossmembers appear straight across while others have a noticeable angle to them. Some sites sell crossmembers listed as 65-67. While others list them as 65-66 only. Did the shape of the crossmember vary over time, with build plant, engine size or other factor?
Here is a used straight crossmember that I have seen sold by quite a few people supposedly from65-66 cars.

Here is a angled one typical of the new one sold by most Mutsang venders and also common for sale used. I believe my original was angled like this.

My 68 crossmember looks just like the straight one.
Hopefully someone knows what crossmembers were used each year and how to tell them apart.
