I saw that ACC (the carpet place) also makes trunk mats. They are having a 20% off internet sale through November so I was thinking about buying from them. But even with the discount they are still more expensive than the entire kit from CJ.

Does anyone know if the ACC stuff is of a different quality than the normal kits you can buy from the mustang catalogs? The basic ACC is listed as vinyl and then they have fleece and something called burtex. Anyone have an opinion on any of this?

My car is a restomod, but I want it to look period correct. I've had the normal kit in it before but I need a new one.

Rangerdoc,
CJ Pony Parts is a dealer of ACC.... I would call ACC for the exact model number of the mat you're interested in.
Then have CJ's quote you a price on that part number.
Even if it's different or better than what they normally sell, they may be able to sell it cheaper due to the volume discount they get from ACC.

I bought a "concours correct" trunk mat from NPD for my 67 coupe and it is pretty cool. It is much thicker with quite a different texture and feel than the less expensive repros. The lesser quality mats are much shinier, thinner and with a white fluffy backing. If you don't mind spending a bit more, the concours correct mats are great quality and make the trunk look fantastic.

Yeah, the old kit I had was the cheap version that you described. I suppose it is probably worth the extra money to have something that will last and look good the entire time. Nice to hear your like the concours stuff, so I might get that.

I was hoping someone might have direct experience with the ACC stuff since they are having a sale in November. Plus, I've never heard of burtex. I suppose it isn't too hard for me to call them and just ask!
