I need the selector arm that attaches tot he FMX transmission for a 73 mustang. I just had my FMX rebuilt and didnt realize until it was in the car that the selector arm is not the right one. The blue transmission in the pictures is the one i have. THe other is a picture of my friends transmission which is what i need.

I'll look on the fmx trans i just pulled from a 69 to see if they are the same and let you know.

70-73 Mustang FMXs had the dual arm on the selector, one for the lock out rod on the column and the other for the transmission. 69 and earlier only had one. I recently sold one for a 70.

then i likely don't have what he needs as this came out of a 59,000 mile car. But i'll double check as there is no telling what has been swapped in and out in 40 years.

Thanks guys. I actually had to break down and purchase a whole transmission becasuei found out that my tailshaft housing is also incorrect. It is very long as if it was fora galaxie. I rebuilt the wrong trans!!!
