what seems to be the problem???? theres probably a few hidden screws by the edge of the windshield. a couple where it meets the instrament cluster. and one on each side

On the 66, there are 4 nuts behind the dash that hold the pad in place. ON the 65 I think there are only the 2 "outboard nuts and none by the radio. Here is a pic of my right side dash with the holes circled. the left side is similar:

Ther are screws across the windshield side hidden by the trim strips. Also has the same two nuts in center as 66 above the radio opening. Also have to take the speaker grille and speaker out. I think that's about it.

Thank you guys SO much. I just went on a spree and started to take stuff off, the dashpad proved a problem, but thanks for telling me, I got it off, it was crap.

You have it backwards. The '65 only has the 2 inner ones, and doesn't have the outer ones. The '65 also has a chrome strip along the bottom where the pad meets the dash, and each of the 2 strips has 2 screws and a spring clip in them that must be removed.

Thanks John, Its been about 15 years since my 65. I knew they where somewhere. The pic at least sent him in the right direction

I just took off my dash on Wed night. It was a bitch to remove after finding out it was glued to the dash brow.
