When I try to start it it just clicks. One Click and thats all I get. It had happened to be before and I thought it was my starter cilenoid (i have no clue how to spell that) because when I tried to start the car the starter cilenoid would spark. So I replaced the SC and it ran fine for a while. I took it in for a tune up not even a week before i started having troubles with it again and it was running great. But now (a week later ::) when I try to start it again it just clicks. I'm able to jump the car and drive it for the day turning it off and on again and then when I let it sit for a night I can't start it in the morning. What could it be? I'm new at all of this. :(

Could be a number of things. I would first check your ground connections, in particular the main one on the passenger side of the engine block. Pull it off (unbolt) clean both surfaces and re-install.

If it is only happening first thing in the morning, at initial start up, I would check for a parasitic drain on the battery. Once you jump start it in the morning, the alternator builds up the battery enough during the day time running to keep cranking it. When it sits overnight, the battery is draining down. Charge the battery (jump start it and let the alternator do the charging if you don't have a battery charger). Then disconnect the negative battery ground cable from the battery post and put a test light between the cable end and the battery negative post. Make sure EVERYTHING is off. That includes underhood light and interior courtesy lights and all accessories. If the test light illuminates in this set up with everything off, you have a drain that is killing your battery overnight. Time to start pulling fuses one at a time. When you pull a fuse and the test light goes out, you have located the electrical circuit that is causing the drain. Then you have to troubleshoot that circuit for the problem. Try this drain test before you start throwing money at replacement parts. If I'm wrong, it didn't cost anything (except a test light if you ain't got one!).

you either have a drain on your battery, bad battery, bad VR/alternator, or bad starting circuit connections. as others have advised check your NEG battery cable to block. then check both battery terminals and cables (make sure cable ends are not frayed or have green powder under insulation), and starter connection. i assume your solenoid terminals are clean as well as good cables/lugs. with car running check battery terminal voltage and confirm 14Vs or so. i have a procedure to check battery drain with current meter - can e-mail it if you wish. PM me with your e-mail address.

I have the same thing happening with my 67 fastback but it just clicks... new selonoid replaced and still having same issue. Dead battery. will not jump start either now.after trying to jump it just clicks.... I will check the connections first to see if that could be the issue. but after that then what? ::
