that I must report that I've sold my '67 GT 390 Coupe. I know I haven't posted here in a long time, but I feel I owe all of my buddies here at the VMF a round of thanks and appreciation for all the help, support, and yes, laughs that I've received here over the years, especially from the likes of Kent, Stan, Michael, MopedBoy and so many others.

As we speak, my Mustang is being loaded on a container ship at the Port of Oakland bound for New Zealand, where it is to be restored by the owner of a company by the name of West Coast Classics, Ltd. West Coast Classics imports cars from the US and resells them in New Zealand. Although, the owner of the company purchased my car to be restored for his own personal collection and it will not be resold. It does make me feel good that the car will be lovingly cared for and not immediately wrapped around a telephone pole by some kid.

Anyway, a BIG THANKS! to everyone here at the VMF (you too, Bob) for all of your friendship over the years. And, of course, whenever I want to see my car, all I have to do is play a round of poker, and there it'll be...on the Four of Spades!!

Sincerely,

Rick

Sorry. Sounds like the empty corral syndrome is setting in. Remember there are alot of stangs in the sea, throw out a line and start trolling for a replacement.

Rick:

It's been while since I recall reading one of your posts. Sorry to hear your sad news. Hope all is well with you and that you will find the time to continue to visit the forum and share your wisdom and humor.

Regards, Jeff

Bummer Rick. :naive: I guess that means that you are no longer looking for a 428 for your GT. If it had to leave America, I guess New Zealand is not such a bad place. You can still lurk and post a joke or 2 upon occasion. fd

You was here quite awhile before I was, but still remember one of the first posts I read from you...it was a video/sound clip of you "going" through the gears..(at least I think it was you ) good luck in whatever you plan to pursue...from what I here,..once a car guy...always a car guy...keep us informed of your next venture...

You should go and visit your car in NZ. Beautiful country with not a mile of straight road anywhere!
I second that. My wife is from NZ and we go there for Christmas. Great place to visit.

Farewell to one of my all-time favorite VMF cars. I have admired your GT since I first saw it here years ago.
Take care.
