Ok, here's an odd POR-15 application question...

Decided I'm going to try black rocker molds, as I have two dinged sets to play with, repros are marginal, and shipping them to Oz doubles the cost.

Thinking the POR will work well on the aluminum, and thinking its durability will be far better to the road grit that ineveitably dings up the front edges... assuming the Blackcoat or Semi-gloss black finish is close enough to what I want...

Anyone tried this applciation? Results?

Mmmmm... their site say Blackcoat and Chassis Coat topcoats are UV stabilized.

I work for Line-X and for the spray-on bed liner to work you would need about mils or it will chip off like paint. A epoxy will chip off eventually on need to be re coated every once in a while. A lot of our dealers spray the skid plates on jeeps and Line-X holds up really well if sprayed thick enough.

Thx for the tips, not interested in bed liner as it would be really thick and uneven, not the look I want. Was hoping the POR Topcoat would be more durable than paint, but still look reasonably good as a smooth finish.
