Rebuilt brakes vibration

This past winter I completely rebuilt the brake system on my 1965 coupe. Replaced all the lines, cylinders, hardware, drums, and converted to a dual master cylinder and power brakes. Am running DOT 5 silicone fluid.

The brakes work great except under hard high speed braking I get a vibration not only in the pedal but the front end also shakes. Everything is new so I can't understand why. Could worn front end or steering parts cause this?

get the drums/discs turned

Hi Steve,
You didnt say if you had 4 wheel drums, If you installed new drums on the front you must turn them to true them to the old hubs.

Worn out strut rod bushings will exhibit those symptoms.

Thanks, for the response. I have new drums all around and did not know that new drums have to be trued to the old hubs. Live and learn, I will get them turned.

Steve, what dual bowl master cylinder did you use with the power booster set up? I am having trouble finding a dual bown MC to fit my 66 with power brakes.

I bought a power booster with dual drum master cylinder from Mustang Depot which is a bolt in retrofit to convert to power.
