Went to install the end links on my 1" sway bar and realized the supplied bolts are about 2" too long. In rummaging through my bolt bins I found some bolts that are larger diameter yet still readily fit through the supplied bushings and washers. The bolt that came in the kit is Grade 3 and my thought is to use the thicker Grade 8 bolts of the right length instead.
The supplied bolts (take a 1/2" socket) fit the bushings with lots of slop and movement. The proposed bolts (take a 9/16" socket) seem like they'd serve the purpose better.
Is there something I'm not seeing here or I suppose any reason you want lots of slop in those bushings?
The wimpy supplied bolts are on left and beefier size I want to use instead are on right.
