I pulled the engine and transmission from an 88gt and put into my 67 that has a R&C front end as well as an 1999 8.8 mountaineer rear. The transmission is sitting at 4* down and my rear end 3* up. I had to notch the transmission tunnel brace and trim about 1/4" from the shifter opening.
Is it ok If the transmission is touching the brace?
The transmission looks to be a bit cocked to 1 side. Should the top of the shifter plate be level?
Should it be going down the center of the tunnel? It looks like it may be pointed toward the passenger side a litttle.
Is a 1* difference ok, or should I shim the rear up slightly?
