I noticed when parking at the MCA show a few weeks ago, that Scary was running a little warm, and thought it strange, since it wasn't that hot of a day (low 90's IIRC). I noticed it again last week when I went to a show. Since I'm heading to Hot August Nights in Reno tomorrow, I took her out for a spin today. Once again, it was running warm, when sitting in traffic.
I got home, pulled into the driveway and got out and was surprised at what I didn't hear ... the electric fan. After a little trouble shooting, I found a fried fan power wire. Apparently I must have had a little bit of exposed wire on one of the connectors and it shorted against the frame, frying the wire.
It appears that my fan hasn't been running for at least a month. The $180 Summit cross flow aluminum radiator with a '70 style hi-flow Miloden water pump almost doesn't need the fan. *LOL* I doubt I would have even noticed it, if this had happened in winter.
