Just a post with some pictures installing a Edelbrock AVS2 on a stock 351 Clevaland 4v 1970 Mach 1. Maybe helpful for others. The throttle linkage plate 1.7 inch extended length

Throttle bracket looks good, but my thought would be that without additional bracing or a anti rotation tab welded on that spring bracket, the long lever arm with spring tension and vibration will eventually cause that nut to loosen, as the bracket is pulling in the loosen direction.

There is a fitting that fits in the large hole it is 2 pieces and is what i used on mine. You have an AOD.
i believe Edlebrock makes an adaptor for the AOD linkage. That is not passing gear or downshift it is transmission pressure do not drive without it hooked up and properly adjusted.
You can get a fitting for the avs2 to allow you to connect a 5/16 flared fuel line to the carb that you can make go any place you want. You can also swap the line from the pass side to the driver side
