I got this idea from another thread. What movies must a Mustanger have in his/her collection? If not, then you must turn in your keys....
I'll start with the obvious... Bullitt.

Damn, I thought I was the only one who remembered Redline 7000. It was the first movie I had ever seen at a drive in theater. The "Old Fort" drive in, Lebanon Ohio

The movie Winning from 1969 is another good. Paul Newman. Lots of vintage Ford street and racing vehicles. Stock cars (Torinos), Indy, Can Am, etc on the track and racing. I just watched the 2 hour show on Velocity channel about Paul Newman and his racing history. Supposedly doing Winning in 1969 got him started in racing as he had to be trained (along with Robert Wagner) to realistically drive race cars. Robert Wagner said they went to Bob Bondurant's school.

I clicked that link for the original Gone in 60 Seconds and I couldn't leave the computer till it was over. Holy guacamole that was one long car chase. They don't do them like that nowdays. Kinda made me laugh a little bit though we're all terrified of getting our cars scratched and that one was just put through the ringer. I wonder how many cars they tore up shooting that or if it was just 1 car. Regardless- SWEEEEEEET
Thanks for contributing to my pony car education!

only one 1971 mustang was used for the stunts. the other was a backup. it has a 351C 2V and an automatic. i have seen the car in person a few times when they had the "mustangs in the park" car show down the street. some steel straps were welded on to tie the body and frame together better. it still drivable. the 71-73 mustangs had the same front frame assymbly as the 66-69 fairlane and torino. i have a 68 torino and a friend has a 72 mustang. the frames are much stronger than the 65-70 mustang. the movie car had to go on a frame machine after it hit that light pole for some slight tweeking. Marlows frame shop did the tweeking. that light pole hit was not planned but was written into the final edit. i have never seen a front coil spring bend and not snap. the left front coil on the movie car is really bent up from all the bottoming out.

"52 Pickup" with Roy Scheider and Ann-Margret. There's a 69 Fastback/Sportsroof in the movie that doesn't have simulated scoops on the rear quarter panels. Painted over Boss 302 or did other 69's not have the simulated scoops on them?

"Coming Home" featured several Mustangs, the jewel was a GT-500 with hand controls driven by a DAV played by Jon Voight

it was his daily driver, even through the Boston winters: so it might have been more of a "rustang." Didn't it get blown up by a bad guy and replaced with a showroom new mustang (fox 5.0 GT)?

The 67 mustang suddenly transforms in to a 66 at 4:00 in the video.
that sequence was showing other cars driving around Jim on the LA freeways. i assumed it was another one of those cars that was coincidentally another mustang.

I'd forgotten about Grand Prix. Frankeheimer had no less than Carroll Shelby as a technical consultant (whatever that was for the movie), and he insisted one of his cars be in it. So Garner drives a sharp and really rare early 4 speed GT350H. Now that's a car I'd like to have!
i love the shot where Garner is driving Jessica Walter through some European mountain road very quickly, and freaks out the 2CV driver as the GT350 four wheel drifts around a corner towards him. there are awesome vintage F1 sights and sounds in that movie, along with cameos from now legendary drivers.

A Man and A Woman, Foreign film from 1966. Has an early G.T. Convertible in most of the movie plus the guy races an early coupe which changes in different scenes ( ooops) ,there is also a quick snippet of a GT40 in in.

Not a CAR movie but the outsiders had a stang in it and a great line my friends and I used to goof about when I first got into stangs in the 80's..... one of the guys mentions a car. The line "Mustangs they're Tough" .

The movie cannonball had a Green 69 fastback in it. ( chevy powered though, sorry)

"Born to run" 1970 Fastback. ( street racing movie)
