I am looking for a restored 67-68 Fastback or preferably Shelby Clone. I am having a hard time finding the right car for my price range. I am thinking about contacting this mustang locating service - http://www.classicmustang.com/locating_service.htm. Has anyone worked with these guys before? If so what do you think? Also does anyone know of any other places like this that have a good reputation? Also if you are interested and find me the mustang I buy I would be willing to pay you the $300. Thanks for all the help and support.

That sounds like a great service and worth the money if they do the job they say they do. No surprises makes this a great deal for the price if they guarantee their service.

There is nothing worse than spending say $20,000 and finding out it has a leaky cowl, floor boards or other hidden surprises

I have not ever used any of locating services so can't help you there. Only thought I have is something thats taken me years to aquire Patinece. My last purchase I was looking for for almost 3 years before I found just the right car. I wasted alot of time looking but learned alot in the process. Now I would say it was half the fun.
I would say you have good chance of finding the car of your dreams, your location (Houston) should be a benifit as I know there are a couple of places that specialize in Mustangs or Muscle cars that may be able to help you. You have I'm sure checked out Auto Trader etc, make some calls, look at some cars try to find a local mentor and you'll be glad you did.
I'm sure there must be local club, have you contacted them?
Than again if you have to have a car, and have it now, fly down to Barrett-Jackson sale this weekend and go for it.

Good luck, keep posting and sure someone will be willing to take your money.
