i know not to many of you are in love with the 71-73 mustangs, but this is becoming a common thing now, i have been offered 3 cars M code from diffrent sellers and there is even one on ebay right know from a guy who id think knew mustangs, all of them telling me they have the M code Cobra jets, in 1970 and 1971 there where M code 351 4v engines and q code 351 cobrajet cars ran from 1971 to 1973 and in 1971 these where rare beasts 32 hard tops, 108 fastbacks and 5 convertables, so when i get a email that says i have 1971 351 cobrajet, then i drive 400 miles and its a M code i get a little disappointed! any way just leting anyone who dosent know know!

art you are correct the m code in 1971 was a standard 351 4 v and the q code was cobra jet the r code was boss in 71 and h.o in 72 , there was no difrence if the m code had ram air or not, the m code had closed chamber high copresson heads and the q code had low compression open chamber 4v heads. :wall:
and yes i did ask for the vin but he was AFRAID to give it out over the phone.
