The stock 390 4 bbl has the pcv on the passenger rear valve cover and feeds to a connection on the back of the carb spacer. I see alot of so called correct 390 pictures on [censored] etc that have a hose coming form the drivers front valve cover and connecting to the front of the air cleaner. I question the need for both valve covers to have a hose connected to them. Also did the 69 390 have a heat riser on the passenger exhaust manifold that fed hot air up a large tube to the bottom of the snorkle? Appreciate the answers to the above.

My 2 cents,
My 67 mustang w/390 has one hose, from the passenger side cover to the back of the carb. :)

Hi 69,
Chrome lid (same as q code 428 i believe). The hose you mentioned does go to carb plate. Mine has a second hose from the oil fill cap (drivers side) to a 90 degree tube on front of cleaner. The heat riser is a two piece around the ex. manifold with a paper tube to connect to air cleaner. A vacuum diaphram/valve is also located on the driver's side.
Hope this helps,
Dave

Not sure about the air cleaner, most typically have drivers side breather that has hose to air cleaner. In 69 the PCV should come out of passenger valve cover into a brass 90 elbow and into carb spacer if built before 2/21/69. After that date it has no brass elbow, just the hose
