I’m racing in the 1/4 mile this weekend and was wondering what PSI I should start with drag radials. I have 235/60/15 BF Goodrich Drag Radials in the back. My motor is a stock 289 with headers, MSD 6AL box, 600 CFM carb, edelbrock performer intake, and 3.55 gears. Should I start at 20 PSI and go down from there? Also, I plan on bumping my timing to 8 degrees because I’m running 91 octane. Is that a good basis to start. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.
