Somewhere I saw the kit for the Flowmasters i think it was for the 40 series. Can anyone tell me where I can get the pre made kit? Thanks! heard them today and they sounded Bitchin!

This is the only kit I can find, or else you can buy the 40 series mufflers on their own and have the shop install the pipes... These are what I have on one of my cars.

Summit Racing has the best price. It is the American Thunder kit and has 40 series mufflers. I have it on my 66

Got mine from Summit. They had it dropshipped from manufacturer. Got here pretty quick - three days UPS ground I think.

Are they straight like say, a '90 LX 5.0, or are they angled down so they hide behind the valence?

Anyone know where to get a kit for 67-68, Summit seems to skip those years? Does the kit work with shorty headers?

Jegs april 2003 show an American Thunder duel 2.5" pipe with rear exit stainless tips system for a 64 to 66 mustang under part # 389-17273, V8 except for GT for $319.99. Check the website for more accurate price...I need a new catalog. The only problem with this kit is the pipes would have to be fabricated to use the GT trumpets out the valance.

It sure would be nice to see pics of someone who has this set-up with the GT exhaust....!!

I have this kit and have it going through the rear valance. I personally think the tips in the kit (straight ones) look way better than the stock GT trumpets unless you are going for the classic look. This kit is not designed to go through the rear valance though. I had to do some cutting and welding to the exhuast to get it this way. I will take some pics in the morning and post them for you guys.

The Flowmaster kit will fit 65-73 Mustangs, it is incorrectly applicationed....

You will need to have head pipes made from the shorties to the h-pie, as it was designed for full length headers....
