The idle screw is hidden in the back facing the driver's side. Get a long screwdriver and lay it on the valve cover pointing slightly down underneath all the choke linkage and you should be pretty close to it.

You really should get a shop manual. Since you still have the 1100 I'm guessing a lot of your car is still in its original configuration. A shop manual is invaluable help tuning, diagnosing and repairing your car. It has step by step procedures with great illustrations. Well worth the money.
