I'm already up doing the cooking and cleaning. Taking a break now with coffee and VMF.

Family coming over. My three kids, their spouses or partners, two grandkids, mother and sister in law. Only a dozen of us, all with hearty appetites.
22 lb bird
stuffing
jello and fruit salad
mashed taters
gravy
green beans
Yams
creamed onions (M-in-L specialty)
rolls
PIE

What'd I forget?

Maybe we'll break out a game of Mustang Monopoly after the feast.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I'm thankful for the friendships my Mustangs have brought me.

My parents are coming over to our house. My Dad cooks the turkey and stuffing. We are making everything else. I made my Lemon Merengie pies last night Yum Yum. I am eating the left over pie filling for breakfast. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

I cook the whole nine yards for TG. Turkey, (deep fried of course) cornbread dressing with walnuts, fruit salad using fresh fruits and homemade fruit salad dressing, sweet spuds with added extras, and, of course, pumpkin pie with fresh cream to top it off. Dang, can't get any better ....

Wife is in the kitchen cooking. My mom and sister just called and are on their way(3 hours away in New Jersey).Mom just flew in yesterday from sunny Flordia, she hasn't been out of Flordia since'95. She's looking forward to seeing the snow. Cold weather temps might be a shocker for her(currently 18 degrees outside) but its warm in the kitchen. Can't wait 'til they get here. Going to be a nice time.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!!

Well, I guess in a minute or so, I'll check the freezer to see if there's any Swanson Hungryman Turkey dinners left. If not, there's always Campbell's and soda crackers.

Going to work at 2:00, bringing a big pot of chili for everyone to snack on at work. Not exactly traditional Thanksgiving day fare, but good food none the less. The kind where you sweat and your nose runs when you eat it..
The turkey is waiting for my days off...can't wait either.

I hope everyone here has a wonderful holiday!!

My wife and I are going out to eat for Thanksgiving. We both figured a day of cooking and eating would be much better if we didn't have to do the cooking part!

Since it's just my dad and me, I'm cooking two Cornish hens, candied sweet potatoes (my favorite), and baked potatoes. I made the pumpkin pie last night and I have my other favorite, jellied cranberry sauce without berries. I have my homemade cranberry-orange relish for my dad (his favorite).

Spending Thankgiving in my hotel with VMF trying to stay out of the bitching that is going on online. Went to Micron Semiconductor in Boise where I will be here for one more week. This is one nice manufacturing Fab. Today they have free turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Good dinner but not with family......oh the crap you do to stay employed. Laundry done today also. Now to read up on VMF and watch TV. John
